About Me

Welcome to my blog, where I post from time to time on politics, technology, business, sport, travel and anything else I find interesting.

I had to move the blog from the original site, so have reposted everything as of May 2023. I've included the original publication dates.

A bit about me:

I am the co-founder and Commercial Director of the environmental technology firm, UDlive, based in Hampshire. I won't discuss anything company-specific on this blog, but rather general thoughts on how technology is changing the economy and society.

I'm also a Conservative Councillor in Kensington & Chelsea and I was the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Ealing Southall in 2019. Again, with any political posts, I'll  keep the points general rather than local, wherever possible.

By way of brief background, I grew up in a small village in Berkshire,  before going to the US for university. I obtained a Bachelor's in Economics, and a Master's in International Trade Policy - during which time I also worked for a US Senator. I then gained experience in venture capital and management consulting, working across the US and the UK, before starting UDlive with two colleagues back in 2018. We now employ more than 20 people and export our British-made technology around the world.

In 2016 I became a husband to Beatrice, and in 2021 I became a father to Aurelia. Beatrice is from Rome, so we travel there regularly ... I love learning about the history, but I'm not sure if my knowledge is yet at the point where I can blog about it ... we'll see.
